Going Asynchronous
In order to practice and prepare myself for the many times I will have to engage in stakeholder education throughout my career, I created and presented a brownbag presentation to a group of my peers. However, as remote work becomes an increasingly more viable option in the workforce, and teams go more and more international, it is also important to be able to make such presentations available asynchronously. While everyone would need to align schedules for a synchronous meeting, going asynchronous would allow stakeholders to feel comfortable to view material in their own time and reach out with any questions on a case-by-case basis. For this reason, I recorded and edited a video of myself presenting the same information I gave in person. I was very pleased with the end result and now, due in no small part to the greater flexibility and accessibility of videos, I foresee myself making use of my video creation and editing skills for stakeholder education in the future.
